When a government is a weakling, it tends to be associated with dubious projects.

Penang’s RM75 billion mixed development project in Balik Pulau seems as mysterious as that of a similar project in Kelantan.

Lack of economic intelligence, poor networking, lack of experience of the elected politicians and lack of resources are very common with weak governments who will be the center for opportunists to attack.

We have heard of a post dated cheque of RM4 billion from a similar doubtful project in Kelantan. Why it had gone awry in Kelantan when a development project was at a stake, and why it has not very obvious in other BN’s states?.

Opportunists are everywhere. The best target for a quick profit is to meddle with weak governments.

The character of the man who gave the post dated cheque to Kelantan State government for a sum of RM4 billion, is ordinary to any economic opportunist. It also can be found in the man handling the RM75 billion mixed development project in Balik Pulau.
